From modest beginnings as a teacher training school, East Carolina University (ECU) has grown to become an emerging, national research university. With an enrollment of almost 26,000 students, ECU is the fastest-growing university in the statewide, 16-campus University of North Carolina system. East Carolina offers 104 bachelor’s degree programs, 74 master’s degree programs, four specialist degree programs, one-first professional MD program, and 17 doctoral programs in our professional colleges and schools, Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences and the Brody School of Medicine. The campus is located in Greenville, North Carolina, a growing city of more than 60,000 people that is a business, cultural, educational and medical hub in the eastern part of the state. From ECU, it is just less than a two-hour drive to both the state capital, Raleigh, to the west and Atlantic Coast beaches to the east. more . . .
